Left-Handed Girl, a Taiwanese family drama on Netflix, was uniquely shot entirely on an iPhone 13 by director Shih-Ching Tsou, utilizing the device for its discretion in bustling Taipei night markets and with help from collaborator Sean Baker. The film follows a single mother and her daughters running a night market stall, blending personal stories with themes of tradition and identity, and it was selected as Taiwan’s Oscar submission for the 98th Academy Awards.
